A budding Nigerian singer, one Juliet Ita who’s known better as Mhiz Amber, was discovered dead in the house she shared with her foreign lover, Jim Roach —said to be Lebanese— in Calabar, Cross River State.
The circumstances surrounding her death have prompted her friends to call for a thorough investigation. According to reports, the singer had been in a relationship with Jim Roach for about 10 years before her death on Saturday, June 13, 2020.
The lifeless body of Juliet, who is said to be 5 months pregnant, was found hanging in the apartment. It was gathered that Roach later reported the death to the police and claimed she committed suicide following an argument they had on Friday.
However, her friends have rejected the claim and are now calling for an investigation as they say the duo had been having issues in their relationship and it usually turned violent.
Also, according to one of her friends, before Juliet found out that she was pregnant, she had already decided to quit the relationship and asked Roach to pay her off with N5million but he allegedly agreed to pay her N2.2 million and was yet to fulfill the promise before her death.

Your Pilot is a Marlian” – Naira Marley reacts to Execujet’s Apology letter to FG
Embattled music star, Naira Marley has reacted to an apology letter from Execujet airlines to the federal government for conveying the artist and his team to Abuja for a concert amidst the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Marley has been under serious criticisms after his concert led to the violation of the social distancing directive put in place by the Federal Government. Reacting to the development, the Nigerian Government suspended the operating license of Execujet for bringing the artist, whose real names are Azeez Fashola, and his team to Abuja.
Also, the FCT administration sealed up Jabi Lake Mall for hosting the concert. However, on Tuesday, Execujet issued a statement that they had no knowledge that Naira Marley was onboard.
According to the CEO of the airlines, Sam Iwuajoku, they thought the flight was for the honourable minister of works and housing, Babatunde Fashola, who bears the same name as one of the passengers on the flight manifest. He added that he had no idea that it was for a ‘bunch of Useless people’, referring to Marley and his team.
In response, the artist took to Twitter, writing;
“Lool they asked for our names on the jet though and looooooooool ur pilot is a Marlian and everybody there is a Marlian too. my name is Azeez Adeshina Fashola and my lil brother’s name is moshood babatunde fashola” and u was begging me to tag y’all”
Earlier today, the FCT minister also issued a statement on the development, disclosing that Naira Marley will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
